Vieux Carré® Series

The Vieux Carre is a National Historic Landmark in Louisiana and the United States. Better known to many as the French Quarter, this area of New Orleans is rich in culture, from the music and food to the wrought-iron rails and beautiful architecture. Perhaps no other symbol captures the unique charm of the city better than Bevolo gas lanterns.

The Vieux Carre light series is a collection of custom designs named after the restaurant, hotel, or landmark each lantern was originally designed for, such as Cafe du Monde, Napoleon House, and The Cabildo, among many others.

The original Rosetta Standard copper lantern was designed by the renowned architectural firm of Koch and Wilson. As historic preservationists, Koch and Wilson commissioned Bevolo’s skilled coppersmiths to create a timeless, durable lantern with an aesthetic that’s still iconic to this very day. Rosetta Standard lanterns grace many historic properties in the French Quarter, and they’re available for your home as well! Choose from natural gas, liquid propane, or electric fuel sources for your Rosetta Standard lantern along with a variety of bracket and yoke options.

The Napoleon House copper lantern was originally designed as a custom light for the Napoleon House restaurant in downtown New Orleans. However, this Mediterranean-themed lantern can now be found throughout Louisiana as it illuminates entryways, yards, and more in style. Pick from natural gas, liquid propane, or electric fuel sources for your Napoleon House lantern, and take a look at Brennan’s Bracket for a stunning mounting option that really shows off the lantern’s profile.

Our Cafe du Monde copper lantern was first made as a custom design for the restaurant of the same name in the French Quarter. Although it has humble beginnings, this elegant copper light can now be found on homes throughout the country. The Cafe du Monde light is available in natural gas, liquid propane, or electric fuel options, and it’s also available in a six-sided variety for architecture that demands more formal features. These lanterns are best for complimenting arched transoms, leaded glass doors, bay windows, keystones, and similar architectural designs.

Bevolo’s Vieux Carre Chateau and Windsor copper lanterns show off their size proudly, originating from designs customized for New Orleans’ hotels. Typically, the Vieux Carre Chateau and Windsor lights are reserved for detailed architecture of a larger scale. They come in a variety of mounting configurations for additional flair. Like the above, they come in natural gas, liquid propane, or electric fuel options.

Each handmade fixture showcases refined craftsmanship, unsurpassed quality, and exceptional detail. These lanterns come in a variety of sizes, mounting options, and utilities. If you have something specific in mind for your home or would like to request something custom, our artisans would be happy to oblige.
