19th Century 2nd Empire, Napoleon III gilt andirons. Each consists of swirled waves topped with acanthus leaves. Prominent lion heads, embedded near the top of each andiron, stand guard. The center features a pierced opening with a large, central acanthus leaf superbly cast. Circa 1860-1870.
